I'm Eric Dormer — a Canadian engineer and business owner based in Ottawa. I've run my own one-person operations and built several small businesses from scratch. I know the feeling: you're doing the actual work, and the phone rings. You can't answer it. The caller hangs up and dials your competitor. That business is gone before you even knew it existed.
